- Encounter is fate
Without pets, it’s hard to imagine living with them. I have pets and can’t imagine life without them. The lifespan of cats and dogs is only a few years or ten years, which is not enough to accompany us for a lifetime, but we are their whole life. Because you can meet many of them in your life, but you are the only one in their life.
- The hair type of pets
Today, let’s first understand their hair types: there are many types of cats and dogs, cats are mostly short-haired, but dogs are diverse. Basically, there are 5 types of dog hair: long hair, silky hair, curly hair, smooth hair, and hard hair. If you count hairless, there are 6 types. There are several different types of hair on cats and dogs, and several types of hair can grow in one pore. They are primary hair or guard hair (outer coat of dog), secondary hair (undergrowth hair), and contact hair. Vibrates have sensory functions, such as eyelashes, beards, etc.
- How to comb different hairs?
(1) Combing of long-haired dogs: This type of hair should be combed in the opposite direction first, and then in the direction, except in winter.
(2) Combing for silky dogs: This type of hair tends to become messy if you don’t pay attention to it. It needs to be combed frequently to avoid felting. Excessive hair on the earlobe and in the ear canal can cause disease and requires constant clipping.
(3) Grooming for curly-haired dogs: This type of dog does not change its hair all year round, and the hair continues to grow. It must be thoroughly brushed once every 2-3 days; for long-haired dogs, it should be combed first and then brushed. This dog is prone to shedding of undercoat and mats easily if not brushed frequently and requires careful care.
(4) Grooming of light-haired dogs: This type of hair should be combed with brushes for short-haired dogs, and combs and brushes for long-haired dogs.
(5) Grooming of hard-haired dogs: This kind of dog will not be felted as long as it is combed regularly. The tip of the long hair should be trimmed once every 3-4 months, and the hair around the eyes and ears should be cut off with scissors.
(6) Grooming of hairless dogs: This type of dog has very little hair, but still needs to be combed. When the coat grows long, it needs to be cleaned and oiled for maintenance.
Dogs change their hair twice a year in spring and autumn, and each time they change their hair for 4-6 weeks. The new hair will grow well within 3-4 months. When curly-coated dogs change their hair, they should be combed twice a day. , You should also take a bath.
- Combing order of hair
The number of pet grooming needs to be based on the pet’s physiological characteristics. Generally, it is required to groom once in the morning and once in the evening, or develop the habit of grooming for 5 minutes a day. The order of combing the coat should start from the neck, from front to back, and from top to bottom. That is, from the neck to the shoulders, then the back, chest, waist, abdomen, and buttocks in turn, then the head, and finally the limbs and tail, after combing one side, then the other side. Roughly refer to the following order:
① Use a large-toothed comb to comb the coat and hair clumps or knots.
②Continue to comb the coat with a dense-toothed comb.
③ Brush the bristles in one direction with the brush.
④ Use a shaving comb or a shaving knife to comb the coat or shave off excess hair.
⑤ Use shears to cut off the hair around the eyes, genitals, and anus or trim it neatly.
⑥ Use scissors or hair-thinning scissors to cut the coat thin.
⑦Wash or dry-clean the dog coat.
⑧ After the dog’s hair is dry, comb it again, and then apply wax or hair oil.

- Trouble with hair removal
- The shedding hair hidden in the fresh hair will affect the pet’s skin oil secretion and balance, resulting in dull coat color.
- Dead hair has no vitality, lacks self-cleaning function, and easily breeds a large number of bacteria, causing skin diseases.
- The pet’s undercoat hair will be entangled in the deep part of the hair. If it is not combed for a long time, it will become knotted. Using ordinary brushes can only comb away the surface hair, but if it goes deep, the comb cannot be pulled out. If you use a blade, it will cut your pet.
